Newly-Coded VikingPump.com Launched

Cedar Falls, Iowa, October 17, 2012 You may notice some ‘back end’ changes in VikingPump.com – we just want to let you know what we did, and how it affects you. When we launched our new Viking Distributor Portal back in July, we also rolled out a newly-coded VikingPump.com site using the same rendering engine. But big problems with usability and search engine optimization (SEO) led us to program a different solution, and we “rebooted” the site in mid-October

The new version’s major features that affect you are:

• MUCH shorter and intuitive URL’s (like vikingpump.com/contact.asp)
• Cleaner, simpler HTML coding to help the Googlebot and other search engine spiders index our content
• Faster page load times, since less ‘stuff’ has to be loaded on the back end
• Smarter programming that allows visitors to copy/save useful URL’s, like distributor zip code search results, PDF’s, and chemical compatibilities.

Our goal is always for a great user experience, easy navigation, and accurate information. If you think our sites are lacking in these areas, definitely let us know, so we can focus on ways to improve them!
