Viking's Spur Gear series pumps are ideal for low-capacity, high-pressure, motor-speed applications. All pumps increase by capacities of 40%, so there is always a pump within 20% of your capacity needs.
Viking Mag Drive® Pumps use magnetic force passing through a statically sealed canister to drive the pump. This eliminates the need for a traditional dynamic shaft seal such as packing or mechanical seals. In turn, this eliminates the hazards and mess caused by leaking packing or mechanical seal failure, making this an ideal solution for:
- Hazardous liquids such as casutics or acids
- Flamable liquids such as fuels or alcohols
- Liquids which are difficult to seal such as resins or isocyanates used in polyurethane foam production
- Strong aromatics such as perfumes or mercaptum
- Expensive liquids such as heat transfer liquid or those used in pharmaceutical production
- Applications where seal failure is absolutely unacceptable such as pipeline sampling
- Pump locations which a leaking pump may cause a safety concern (near walkways or overhead)
In addition to sealless Mag Drive, these pumps are available in lip seal and mechanically sealed versions. They are available with foot mount or C-flange motor mount and are fitted with integral pressure relief valves as standard.
For hydraulic applications or pressures beyond 500 PSI, Viking offers a line of Fluid Power Pumps in both single and double pump configurations.
Viking Pump introduced the first commercially available Magnetically Coupled gear pump over 2 decades ago, and has built on that tradition with the widest offering of Mag Drive gear pumps available today including the Spur Gear Mag Drive, the Universal Mag Drive, the original Viking Mag Drive®, and the Composite Mag Drive.
The Spur Gear Mag Drive Series includes the following models:
- SG-8_- Cast Iron Magnetically Coupled Pump
- SGN-8_- Ductile Iron Magnetically Coupled Pump
