Higher capacity and pressure is what the SG-10 and SG-14 pumps deliver, solving a variety of high pressure chemical / industrial pumping problems that neither low pressure transfer-type gear pumps nor high pressure hydraulic pumps could handle.

Extending the range of their high-pressure external gear pump line, Viking Pump’s SG series now offers 29 models from 0.2 to 760 lpm (200 USgpm). With standard pressures to 35 bar (500 PSI), and optional ratings to 170 bar (2500 psi) even on thin liquids, these positive displacement pumps are both simple and reliable.

Typical applications include monomers, fuels, oils, and heat transfer liquids, as well as high viscosity materials like adhesives and sealants.  While all Viking SG pumps offer lip seals, mechanical seals and sealless mag drive options, the New SG-10 and SG-14 also offer cartridge seals for difficult-to-seal liquids.  All pumps operate at motor speeds, and offer direct coupling to IEC and NEMA flanged motors to eliminate shaft alignment.

Polyurethane manufacturers frequently use Viking’s mag drive gear pumps for isocyanates and blowing agents, and the standard sealed pumps for polyols, in both recirculation and impingement mixing applications.

Viking also offers many adaptations to these basic pumps, including double and triple pumps, flow dividers and hydraulic motors, as well as custom pumps to meet specific performance requirements.
